I am a Research Associate at the Institute of Astronomy, University of Cambridge, where I work on new astronomical surveys with an emphasis on large optical spectroscopic programmes. My research is in extragalactic astronomy, with a focus on variability in active galaxies and extragalactic transients, using multi-wavelength observations to understand how the accretion processes around supermassive black holes change over time.
I obtained my PhD at the University of Edinburgh in 2020 and held a postdoctoral position at the Leibniz Institute for Astrophysics in Potsdam (2020-2025), before coming to Cambridge. At the Cambridge IoA I am a member of the Cambridge Centre of Excellence for Astronomical Data (CAMCEAD), which specialises in the processing and analysis of extensive astronomical datasets.
