Talk Summary

Our current cosmological standard model is remarkably successful in describing our Universe, but it relies on two big unknowns: Dark Matter and Dark Energy, which together make up around 95% of the content of the Universe. I will explain what Dark Matter and Dark Energy are, and how they compete to shape the history and future of the Universe. The Dark Energy Survey uses the world's most powerful digital camera to unravel their mysteries.
