CIRPASS fibre slit

The CIRPASS fibre slit and the mask mirrors. The light from the telescope comes out of the ends of the fibres which can be seen here as a horizontal line resembling the edge of a fan encased in glass in between the two mask mirrors. The mask mirrors at this time have no dark lines on them to absorb the OH light from the Earth's atmosphere.
