About the Library

Library room C

The Institute of Astronomy library is located in the old Observatory building on Madingley Road. We serve all members of staff in the Institute, as well as other members of the University.

The library holds an extensive selection of astronomical monographs as well as a smaller range of books on related subjects such as physics, mathematics and computing. This is complemented by nearly 250 current periodical titles as well as an extensive range of observatory publications. Special collections include, rare books, historical photographs and prints, slides, videos and CD-ROMs.

For more details about the library and its use, please see the Library Guide which is now available online.

The latest NEWS from the library can be found by clicking Library News.
