CIRCC: The Camera Control Computer

• Runs the camera at prime focus. Win98B machine
• Controlled over Ethernet by PC Anywhere, version 10
• Intel L440GX server motherboard.
• 1000 MHz Slot 1, 256K Cache Pentium-III
• 1024 Mbyte memory as 2x512 Mbyte modules
• Adaptec 29160 Ultra SCSI PCI bus controllers
• 1 off 36 Gbyte IBM 10,000 rpm SCSI disc
• Panasonic LFD-201E DVD-RAM disk on the 29160 SCSI bus as device 4
• Adaptec 3200S SCSI RAID controller
• 2 off 36 Gbyte IBM 10,000 rpm SCSI disc set up as RAID 0 data disks
• On-board100MBt PCI Ethernet
• On board display adapter set to 1024x768 resolution
• 12 volt DC supply card for powering MC101 fibre to copper Ethernet adapter
• LSR AstroCam PDCI card for accepting data from the system 4100 controller
• LSR AstroCam ISA bus AT-LINK card for controlling the system 4100 controller

CIRDR: The Computer to control CIRSI from the control room

• Controls CIRSI via Ethernet by PC Anywhere, version 10.0
• Intel AL440X motherboard, BIOS version P10
• 266 MHz Pentium-II
• 384 Mbyte memory
• Adaptec 2940 SCSI PCI bus controllers
• 1 off 6.4 Gbyte SCSI discs
• Panasonic LFD-201E DVD-RAM disk on the 2940 SCSI bus as device 4
• 2 off 16.8 Gbyte IDE disks (for use as back-up data disks)
• Intel Pro 10/100 PCI Ethernet card, used at 100 Mbit
• Matrox Mystique 4 Mbyte display card
