Astronomy outreach activities

I give astronomy talks and lectures on almost any area of astronomy to a wide range of ages. I regularly visit schools and colleges to talk about astronomy with students. Over the past two years I have delivered presentations to a total audience of over 1500 people, as well as making appearances on national TV and radio.

I am a course tutor at the University of Cambridge's Institute of Continuing Education, where I teach undergraduate-level astronomy courses. I also teach introductory astronomy material to summer school students visiting Cambridge.

I am the honorary president of LYRA – Lowestoft & Yarmouth Regional Astronomers.
