Talk Summary

The main goal of Galactic Archaeology is to reconstruct the fossil record of our Galaxy in order to better understand its formation and evolution. In my talk, I will be reviewing the use of modern Galactic Archaeology and how it is able to inform our intuition of our home Galaxy; the Milky Way. In particular I will focus on how we can extract information from stars in the local neighborhood, both in chemistry and dynamics, to figure out how our Galaxy is structured, how it formed, and how it is evolving.
