I'm a first year PhD student at the Institute of Astronomy under the supervision of Prof. Richard McMahon. My focus is on the detection and classification of AGNs and high-redshift quasars (z>4). As some of the earliest observable objects in the Universe, they offer a unique opportunity to investigate early supermassive black hole formation and evolution as well as galaxy co-evolution.
Outside of my PhD I enjoy fencing and rowing, and am an avid hiker. I'm originally from Luxembourg and moved to Switzerland for my studies, before relocating to the UK for my PhD.
