Most of my research falls within the field of numerical cosmology / astrophysics:

Galaxy clusters

  • cosmological hydrodynamical simulations of galaxy cluster formation
  • AGN feedback
  • cluster cosmology
  • gravitational lensing
  • intracluster light

Intergalactic medium

  • cosmic reionization
  • numerical studies of the Lyman-alpha forest
  • cosmological 21 cm signal
  • beam plasma instabilities & cosmological implications of TeV blazars

Modified gravity

  • cosmological simulations with modified gravity (f(R), etc.)
  • degeneracies between baryonic physics and the effects of modified gravity

Galaxy formation

  • forming realistic galaxy populations in cosmological hydrodynamical simulations
  • supernovae & AGN feedback / galactic outflows
