Scan and deliver!

Published on 06/07/2020

We are delighted to let you know that the University Library’s Scan & Deliver service is now available. Scan & Deliver allows you to request up to five scans per 24 hour period of University Library books or journals, using an online form:

As a result of copyright restrictions, you should only request one chapter from a book or one article from a journal issue. The team are aiming to fulfill scan requests within 48 hours, excluding weekends. If your request is successful, you will be emailed a link to the scan in G-Suite@Cambridge, which is part of Google Drive, and this link will remain active for 14 days. Please note that the link will only be accessible via your Cambridge Google account, rather than any personal one, so you may need to log in to Google with your Cambridge email address.

Please note:

There are some restrictions on what you can request, and at present, special collections, newspapers, maps and sheet music are all excluded from this service. More information about the service, including these restrictions, is available on the University Library website:

======= To add in communication to academics if appropriate ========

Scans produced by the Scan & Deliver team are intended for individual or personal research, and copyright restrictions mean that they should not ordinarily be uploaded to Moodle or otherwise distributed. Subsequently, we advise that you contact your local Faculty or Departmental library for any scans for teaching, from reading lists, or intended for students.
