Institute of Astronomy


Accommodation has been arranged for all delegates at St. John's College, in the North Court, at the University of Cambridge, for 3 nights, checking in on Sunday 4 September and checking out on Wednesday 7 September. The accommodation includes modern ensuite single rooms with all the standard facilities within the premises of the 500-year old college. Guests will enjoy views of the majestic gardens/lawns, magnificent architecture, and the river Cam flowing nearby. There is also the famous St. John's chapel on site which guests can visit. Note: Please do let us know if you have any specific requirements, e.g. special access, double occupancy, etc. 

Transfers to and from St John's College and the Institute of Astronomy:- On Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 September a coach has been arranged to take delegates from the College to the meeting venue at the Institute of Astronomy, departing the College at 0830hrs from the Round Church Street pick up point and a return coach will depart the Institute of Astronomy to take you back to the College at the close of meeting each day (1730hrs on Monday 5 September and 1800hrs on Tuesday 6 September). 

Meals All the meals will be arranged during the two days of the meeting. Breakfast will be served at St. John's College and lunches will be served at the meeting venue. The Symposium Dinner will be held on 5 September at St. John's college and the dinner on 6 September will be held at a favourite local restaurant - Cocum, Cambridge.
