Marie Curie Award

Benedetta Ciardi one of our network PostDocs and one of the two Young Researcher representatives was one of 5 scientists awarded the prestigious Marie-Curie Excellence Award of the European Commission at a ceremony in Warsaw on November 7 2004. Benedetta was recognised for her work on the effect that the radiation of the first stars had on intergalactic gas in the Universe and on the process of galaxy formation. More details here .
