Close narrow lines in blends are not dealt with properly. The average
signals
in a pixel are multiplied, and if there is significant variation in
optical
depth over a single pixel this is not correct.

Instrument profiles which vary significantly over a pixel are not dealt
with properly, since a pixel by pixel convolution is used.
The variable subpixellation in vpfit9.3 overcomes
both of these problems.
