#This database is a compilation of the line lists found in Maihara et al,
#Oliva & Origlia, and Ramsey et al. Most of the line strengths come
#from Maihara et al. with some additions from the other listings.
#Note that the different listings give line strengths differing by as
#much as a factor of 2 in some cases (but then OH line intensities are
#hardly stable with time). The database also includes some molecular
#oxygen and nitrogen lines as listed in Maihara et al. The
#wavelengths were taken from Abram et al. after verifying their
#correspondence with the listed observed wavelengths given in Maihara.
#Because the observations were carried on at "low-resolution"
#(R <= 1700), we decided to "de-blend" some of the P and R doublets
#as they would appear separated at R > 2500. From spin considerations
#and empirical observations a ratio of 3:1 in P1:P2 and R1:R2 seems to
#be applicable and was used for the "de-blending". Since OH line
#intensities are highly variable, any line list should not be used as
#more than a guide to the pattern of OH skyline emission. All the
#assumptions, approximations inherent in the compilation of the
#database should not affect significantly its use in simulations,
#instrument performance calculations etc ... as long as you do not
#expect two decimal digit precision in the results.
