[CCD]CCD Cameras

The UV CCD camera is a project to construct a large area CCD direct imaging system for imaging optimised for the wavelength range of 300-400 nm. It is intended to use a Loral 2048 x 2048 CCD with 15 micron pixels thinned by Mike Lesser and coated to optimise its UV performance. The system will use an AstroCam Antares controller and operate with a dedicated stand-alone data gathering system that allows it to be used on a variety of telescopes.

The CCD is being acquired now, but there have been delays caused by CCD processing problems. We do not yet have a completion date as a result.
