Medical Data Processing and Image Analysis
I lead the PathGrid project with colleagues at Cambridge Research Institute, CR-UK, an astro-medical initiative applying astronomical image analysis and data handling techniques to the analysis of tissue micro arrays. For more on this see the overview in an invited talk given at Improving Immuno Histochemistry09.
More recent work includes work utilising our astronomical algorithms to automate the analysis of tissue protein expression in breast cancer.
I was (2003-2009) a member of the Science Advisory Board of the EBI/Sanger Institute's genome project - Ensembl - you can find your genetic makeup there.
