An important part of being a professional astronomer is to be able to communicate science in an informative and interesting way to members of the public and hopefully inspire them to pursue some aspect of it themselves! Here are some of the things I've been upto in the last year or so:
Here's a talk I gave in Feb 2010 at the Institute of Astronomy, Public Open Day titled A Multi-Colour View of Galaxies in our Universe for ages 8 and upwards.
In March 2010, I was featured in the Galaxy Zoo She's An Astronomer series.
In October 2009, I was asked to be a panelist for the Science London event Life, the Universe & Physics .
