Research Interests and Projects


My research pursuits are focused on high-redshift galaxies.   I am particularly interested in observationally constraining the nature of the earliest generations of galaxies and improving our understanding of the contribution of these systems to the reionization of intergalactic hydrogen.


Currently, the projects that I’m working on fall in the following categories:


  1. Probing cosmic hydrogen reionization using spectroscopic measures of Lya emission from high-z galaxies.

  2. Tracking the stellar mass assembly of galaxies over 2<z<8.

  3. Understanding the impact of feedback in the formation of the earliest galaxies

  4. Using gravitational lensing to provide insight into the physics of galaxies typical during reionization.

  5. Understanding the relationship of Lya emitters and Lyman break galaxies.
