| Caption: This animation shows the results of a computer simulation of the Small and Large Magellanic Clouds (SMC/LMC) as they fall onto the Milky Way. The disk of the LMC is shown in the center. The SMC disrupts as it orbits the LMC, forming a stellar stream which we observe as a stellar bridge. |
