Talk Summary

On August 24th 2016, the European Southern observatory announced the detection of a potentially rocky planet around the nearest star in the night sky - Proxima Centauri. But what do we really know about the closest exoplanet? Could life exist on it? And ultimately, could we one day visit this planet?

Join Cambridge PhD student Ryan MacDonald, a researcher on the atmospheres of exoplanets, for the latest updates on our understanding of Proxima b.
