Please note that we are unable to offer viewing of the Transit of Venus on the 6th June, as it will not be visible from the observatory lawns and our telescopes!
The transit is already underway at sunrise at 4:45am, and so to observe it you will require a clear view of the north-eastern horizon. Only the last hour of the transit will be visible from the UK.
Find out exact viewing times and appearance from your location, ideas of how to view it safely, and more information.
Every Wednesday 7 - 9pm through the winter season.
The public open evenings are now over for the 2011/12 season - we plan to recommence in October 2012
