Research

I am a 3rd year PhD student pursuing research in the field of stellar populations and near-field cosmology. By statistically looking at large samples of stars within the disk of the Milky Way, I try to produce a more detailed description of the global behaviour of our Galaxy, with the larger aim of understanding its formation mechanism. I work with spectroscopic data from the AAT (AAOmega spectrograph) in Australia, and photometric data from SDSS DR7.
