Monthly Notes of the A.S. of Southern Africa

In what is getting to be quite a trend, we are informed that the "Monthly Notes of the Astronomical Society of Southern Africa" (MNASSA) will no longer be available in a printed form from the start of 2011, but will be available (free) electronically at: MNASSA. The Library has taken this journal from Vol. 6 (1947) and we will miss receiving it in the post with the colourful South African stamps.

ASP Conference Series

The editor of the "Astronomical Society of the Pacific Conference Series" (ASPCS) has informed us that the full-text of individual articles from the conference volumes will be available freely through NASA ADS from one year after publication.

A listing of the ASPCS volumes with access to full-text can be found at: ASPCS. Printed copies of the volumes can be found in numerical order in Library Room B.

Information Bulletin on Variable Stars

IAU Commissions 27 and 42 have informed us that the "Information Bulletin on Variable Stars" (IBVS) will no longer be issued in paper after Issue no. 6000.
