College accommodation

We have reserved college accommodation for the conference, in Storey's Way, which is about a 15 minute walk from the Institute of Astronomy.

All accommodation reservations have been confirmed by email sent to participants on Saturday 12 July. Please contact us immediately if you think you reserved accommodation but have had no confirmation by now.

Two colleges are available:

Trinity Hall Wychfield

The Wychfield (Trinity Hall College) rooms are located in a modern annexe to the main college. They all have en-suite facilities and wireless internet access. There are common lounge areas. Please note that there is no cooked breakfast here, although breakfast baskets containing a croissant, jam, muffin & juice can be collected from the kitchen each morning from 8am. Fresh baskets will be delivered each day. Coffee and tea making facilities are in the bedrooms. See below for details of the breakfast available at the Institute of Astronomy.

Detailed information for guests is now available.

Fitzwilliam

The Fitzwilliam College rooms are located in the modern Wilson Court building. These predominantly single rooms are light and spacious, and benefit from full en-suite and tea and coffee making facilities. There are a few twin rooms available here; if you would like one, it is essential that you inform us as soon as possible. The Fitzwilliam accomodation includes a cooked breakfast, but see below for details of the breakfast available at the Institute of Astronomy.

Hotels

If you instead wish to stay in a hotel, you should book rooms directly. You can find a database of hotels from the Cambridge tourist website. A map can be found here. It is essential that you book as soon as possible as the conference is during tourist season.

Catering at the Institute of Astronomy

There will be a continental-style breakfast buffet, open to all conference participants, at the Institute of Astonomy each morning. This will include pastries, fruit and tea/coffee and the cost is included in the conference registration fee.

Lunch will be served every day in a marquee on the Thorrowgood Lawn at the Institute of Astronomy. The cost of this is also included in the registration fee.
