Grain Settling and Mixing in MRI Turbulence

The evolution of dust grains in magnetorotational turbulence is explored using 3-D resistive MHD calculations. The ionization state and conductivity are calculated using a simple chemical network while the grains are represented by a fluid or by test particles. The results shed light on the competition between the mixing and settling of grains in protostellar disks.
